Hunt Supporters Club

The Berks and Bucks Draghounds Hunt Supporters Club is for everyone who wants to be part of the life of the hunt, whether you ride with us regularly, follow on foot, help behind the scenes or simply enjoy the social side of what we do.

Led by our Master of Fun and Joint Master, Holly Dunham-Shortt, the Supporters Club brings together friends of the Berks and Bucks throughout the season and beyond.

It is all about creating opportunities to get together, support the hunt and enjoy the wonderful community around it.

What does the Supporters Club do?

Throughout the year, the Supporters Club helps organise and support a range of social and fundraising events.

These may include:

  • Pre-season drinks
  • Hunt suppers and parties
  • Social rides and hacks
  • Distributing port and snacks at the Meet
  • Laying lines
  • Providing our much needed support team on quads on the day
  • Jump judging at Kingsclere
  • Puppy walking
  • Fundraising events
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Supporters’ get-togethers
  • Special events throughout the season
  • Opportunities to help at meets and hunt events

Some events are purely social, while others help raise valuable funds towards the running of the Berks and Bucks Draghounds and the care of our hounds.

Everyone is welcome

You do not need to be a regular mounted follower to get involved.

The Supporters Club is for riders, foot followers, parents, friends, former followers, landowners, volunteers and anyone who would simply like to be part of the Berks and Bucks community.

If you are new to the hunt, it is also a brilliant way to meet people away from the excitement of a hunting day.

We are enormously proud of the friendly community around the Berks and Bucks and want the Supporters Club to be a place where everyone feels welcome.

Get involved

There are lots of ways to be part of the Supporters Club, whether that is coming along to an event, helping organise one, volunteering your time or simply supporting what we do.

If you have an idea for an event, would like to lend a hand or want to know what is coming up, please get in touch.

And if Holly asks you to help organise something, there is every chance it will involve good company, plenty of enthusiasm and probably a glass of something along the way.
